Jackos Kan-anan

Happy Tummies and Happy Hearts

Posted on

There is nothing more precious, rewarding, and heartwarming than a child’s smile.

And because children are uncomplicated, it’s surprisingly easy to bring smiles to their faces. Share a great meal and spend a little time with them, and you have a bunch of kiddos with full tummies and you’ll surely leave with a happy heart.

Since school opened this year, Jacko’s Kan-anan had been visiting Bernardo E. Ramos Memorial School (BERMS) in Brgy. Tomas Cabili, Iligan City to share some blessings and lots of love. Here are some photos:

During our first visit to BERMS, we brought arroz caldo and  orange juice.

July was Nutrition Month. What better way to celebrate it than with healthy and nutritious food shared by everyone?

In August, we brought an additional surprise. We turned over some books and encyclopedias to feed the little ones’ curiosity and hunger for knowledge.

In September, as we celebrated the birthday of Ma’am Edith, we were in for a surprise. The pupils prepared a special number! How cute is that?

#Throwback to this year’s birthday celebration of Ma’am Edith at Bernardo E. Ramos Memorial School in Tomas Cabili, Iligan City. Naay dance number from the kiddos pa jud. Maka-touch. Daghang salamat sa inyo. 🙂

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to visit them in October. It was semestral break for them.

And in November, we brought the all-time favorite champorado, bread, and bottled water. Our friends from Real Buko Bar shared ice pops, adding to the big, big smiles of everyone.

Before they leave for Christmas break, we joined the BERMS pupils in their Christmas party. There were singing, dancing, gift-giving, some shared food, and lots and lots and lots of fun.  Thank you Kim Cortes-Hedges and family for the gifts we distributed to the kids. 🙂

That wraps up our year with BERMS. Thank you to Dr. Teresita Sambo and the rest of the faculty, the pupils and their parents for the opportunity to share and the very warm welcome.  Until next year! 🙂
